Description
1956 Ty Cobb Signed Check. Fifty dollar payment by the Georgia Peach to the "Olympic Club" is likely related to greens fees for a golf course of that name. All handwriting and the Hall of Famer's standard check format "Tyrus R. Cobb" signature survive in 9/10 ink. A couple vertical fold lines are apparent from storage but the check otherwise presents very well, with the bank's cancellation stamping remaining well clear of the autograph. This is the most desirable Cobb check format, with his name printed along the left edge. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
