    1951 Bill McGowan Signed Letter. Longtime and colorful American League umpire William McGowan presided over games from 1925 to 1954. During his career he umpired in 8 World Series and was also one of the umpires for the first All-Star Game in 1933. The offered document has been signed and noted by McGowan in 9/10 blue ink. Piece measures at 8x10.5" and presents light wear, with the two typical horizontal folds. Auction LOA from JSA.
