Description

1950s Spalding Catcher's Shin Guards. Elegant in their construction and retaining a great deal of their original luster, these 1950s Spalding shin guards make for a remarkable offering, indeed. Each guard is composed of hard red plastic coverings at the knee and shin areas. A "1724" is found just beneath the company's logo at each knee, indicating that this protective gear could not have seen very much use at all. The padding and straps remain intact, showing only the slightest evidence of wear, most of which was presumably due more to the ravages of time than anything else.
