    Description

    1950s P.F. Flyer Cardboard Advertising Display Featuring Mickey Mantle. Tire-maker B.F. Goodrich delved into athletic footwear with its popular line of Posture Foundation (P.F.) Flyer canvas shoes, noted for their comfortable in-soles. Hence the company's ubiquitous tagline: "Help You Play Your Best Longer!" In this captivating display, Goodrich (which had a TV sponsorship deal) enlisted the help of All-Stars Nellie Fox, Bobby Shantz, Hank Sauer, George Kell, Whitey Lockman, Mickey Mantle, Robin Roberts, Phil Rizzuto, Roy Campanella and Stan Musial. The counter ad measures 18x21" (it appears as if the top portion of the ad was removed) and has a delightful appearance with minor, unobtrusive peripheral wear. Framed and matted at 27x30".
