Description

1950 Ty Cobb Signed Check, PSA/DNA MINT 9. It is tougher to decipher which was more effective - Ty Cobb on the field or away from the game of baseball. While many loathed the win at all costs antics of the Georgia Peach, Cobb was just as successful away from the game as he was on it. An astute business man, Cobb was worth tens of millions of dollars when he died. Drawn from Cobb's First National Bank account in Reno, NV is this check for the sum of $18.84 paid to "WM D Park Assessor." Cobb signed the bottom in perfect black pen. Slight mussing on the last name is the only qualification. The stamp notes approach the "T" in "Ty" but do not impede the autograph. PSA/DNA encapsulated, the offering has been bestowed a grade of "Mint 9" by the experts. PSA/DNA Encapsulation. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
