Description

1950's Jim Bottomley Handwritten & Signed Letter. The star first baseman for the great St. Louis Cardinals teams of the 1920's, Bottomley provides a significant challenge to modern autograph collectors due to his 1959 passing, a full fifteen years prior to his Hall of Fame induction. This handwritten letter (6.25x4.75") includes these words of encouragement in ballpoint ink: "Hello Bert I sure do hope you do become a great Ball Player. Sincerely Jim Bottomley Cardinal First Baseman 1922-1933." The letter was sent by the Hall of Famer from Boston. Encapsulated "Authentic" by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
