1950's Harvey Haddix Travel Trunk. Best remembered for retiring the first thirty-six batters he faced in a May 26, 1959 meeting with the Milwaukee Braves, the tough-luck hurler was denied both a perfect game and the victory when a fielding error in the bottom of the thirteenth put the eventual winning walk-off run on base. This sturdy trunk was likely waiting for the Pirates southpaw back at the hotel following that heartbreaking loss. High-quality piece still holds the various internal compartments and hangers that kept Haddix' gear and clothing organized, and his name is artfully scripted in white on one end. One of the two leather handles is broken, but otherwise general travel wear is the only condition caveat. Maker's emblem from "Priesmeyer Bros. Trunk Co., St. Louis." Dimensions 22x36x13". Third party shipping required.
