1950's Bobby Richardson Game Used Fielder's Glove & Spikes. He's best remembered in Yankee lore for his 1962 Series-ending snag of Willie McCovey's Game Seven liner that would have plated the tying and winning run for the Giants. This rookie-era model had likely been retired by the time of his heroic grab, but with the Yankees the perpetual American League Champions in the 1950's, use in Fall Classic action is all but assured. The Rawlings "Red Rolfe" pro model glove was a favorite among many Big League middle infielders, and this one exhibits solid wear, likely from multiple seasons. Also here is a pair of spikes worn by the diminutive second sacker, each with his number "1" in marker on sole. LOA from Denny Esken (glove). LOA from Heritage Auctions.
