    Description

1950 New York Yankees World Series Championship Lady's Ring from The Gene Woodling Collection. He played six seasons in pinstripes (1949-54), enjoying World Championship glory in all but the last. Here we encounter the scaled-down symbol of one such achievement, made for the wives and identical in all regards to the player version but for the more feminine dimensions. A genuine diamond is secured at the center of the ring face, encircled by that common phrase, "New York Yankees, World Champions." Left shank features the team's bat and hat logo and the year "1950," while the right duplicates the design. "LGB 14k" stamping and engraved "Gene Woodling" appears inside band. Size seven and a half (7.5). Total weight sixteen grams (16 g.). Light wear evident. Letter of provenance from family of Gene Woodling.
