Description
1949 Baseball Autograph Book with Robinson, Campanella, Many More. A young baseball fan's pride and joy. This quaint little autograph book offers tremendous power that belies its modest size. The leatherbound volume features colored album pages measuring 2x6" each, some signed by several members of a team, some singly, with every last autograph is NRMT or better condition. We begin with twelve Chicago Cubs on a single page, with Manush and Harry "The Hat" Walker. Soon we encounter a Cincinnati Reds team sheet with Vander Meer and Kluszewski. Bucky Walters and Joe Cronin are alone on individual pages. Several solo Pirates including Ralph Kiner. A bunch of Cardinals with Musial, Schoendienst and Slaughter. Jackie and Campy appear later on facing pages in bold ink. Earle Combs and Muddy Ruel appear on facing pages as well. Boudreau, Lyons, Rick Ferrell, Dickey, Rizzuto and Henrich close out the Cooperstonians, each on his own page. Dozens and dozens of autographs in all, with several teams, including the Yankees, almost entirely represented. Tremendous break down value, though the great appeal of the complete volume cannot be denied. LOA from PSA/DNA.Auction Info
