Description

1948 Ty Cobb Signed Check Display. Personal check from the Peach's First National Bank of Nevada account in Reno is filled out and signed entirely in the Hall of Famer's hand, paying seventy-one dollars to a "Frank Fallansbee." This is the most desirable format of Cobb checks, with his full "Tyrus R. Cobb" name printed at the left edge, and signed in the same formal style. Black fountain pen ink registers at a strength of 9/10. Check is nicely matted and framed with an image of Cobb at work and a plaque recounting the remarkable statistics that made him the first Cooperstown inductee. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Third party shipping is required.
