    Description

1948 Babe Ruth Sandlot Baseball Championship Advertising Piece. This advertising piece, measuring 14x22", announces the National Sandlot Championship that would pit 1948's New York All-Stars against the All-Stars from the rest of the US. The game took place at the Polo Grounds and is significant as it used the Babe's likeness to advertise it, even though the game was actually held several days after his death. Poster shows great signs of wear, including some wrinkling, water damage, and a 5" tear impeding in from the right edge. Overall display quality is high, and visual appeal is maximized by its being mounted under glass in a frame.
