Description
1947 Stan Musial Hillerich & Bradsby Advertising Sign. No wonder the bat manufacturing company chose to use the Cardinals slugger as an endorser of their product--just look at those numbers! This scarce counter sign served time at a sporting goods store in the years following the Second World War, utilizing the charming cartoonish design that characterized a set that included Ted Williams, Stan Musial, Johnny Mize and Mickey Vernon. The majority of the wear to the sign is confined to the red borders, which show nail holes and wear at the corners. The image area of the piece is relatively free of condition problems, with just a spot of ink at Stan's right knee and a mild overall toning. The original easel back is present and complete.Loading guides...
