    1947 Jackie Robinson NAACP Annual Merit Award With Rachel Robinson LOA. Not just anyone could break the color barrier in sports. It had to be a man who could withstand the constant taunts and barbs associated with such a historic move. Jackie Robinson showed he was the right man for such a job as he broke the color barrier. In 1947 Robinson was awarded this NAACP Annual Merit Award for his contributions. Signed by Fred Stripp and C.L Dellums, the award measures approximately 7x11." A signed letter of provenance signed by Robinson's widow will attend and serve as authenticity. Signed letter from Rachel Robinson.
