1946 Lewis "Hack" Wilson Signed Check. Our auction database, which compiles results for every major house since the 1999 Halper sale, indicates that just two examples have reached the auction block in the past decade, illustrating just how rare an opportunity is presented here. Penned just two years before the former slugging great was buried in a pauper's grave, the presented check withdrew seventy-five dollars from Wilson's account. All ink is an unimprovable 10/10. No endorsing signature on verso. No tears, folds or stains, and all bank punch coding remains clear of Wilson's signature. In short, the finest of the minuscule supply. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
