    Description

1946 Grover Cleveland Alexander Handwritten & Signed Letter about Cardinals Pennant Win, PSA/DNA NM-MT 8. He authored the most famous strikeout in World Series history for the 1926 St. Louis Cardinals, saving Game Seven with a bases-loaded K of dangerous Yankees rookie slugger Tony Lazzeri. Here he mentions his old team's impending meeting with the Boston Red Sox in the 1946 World Series, a Fall Classic made famous by Enos Slaughter's legendary Mad Dash. Single page on the letterhead of an East St. Louis hotel is handwritten in pencil and signed boldly at close. Page measures 10.5x7" and bears original mailing folds and a rusty paperclip impression, otherwise fine. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, NM-MT 8.
