    Description

1946 Babe Ruth Signed Check Display. The Sultan of Swat's personal check, with "Babe Ruth" printed vertically in black on the left border and drawn on "The Chase National Bank" in New York, is signed "G.H. Ruth" in 9/10 black fountain pen. Displayed perfectly with an oversized limited edition photograph ("Babe Ruth, 1915 360/5000, Baseball Antiquities," 10.25x13" visible in frame) which captures a twenty-year-old Babe on-field in 1915, during his second Major League season when he was a star pitcher with the Boston Red Sox. Ruth is pictured from the waist up, in his home white pinstripes, leaning against the grandstand railing at Fenway Park. His arms are folded and he is staring into the outfield. The image is spectacular for its great clarity and detail and also because of how young Ruth looks at the dawn of his Major League career. Double-matted and framed 19.25x17.75". A beautiful framing job. Full LOA from SGC Authentic. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
