1943 Walter Johnson Signed Check - PSA/DNA Mint 9. While quiet and unassuming, Walter Johnson had baseball's best fastball of his time. The man who led the Washington Senators, yes the team always stuck in the bottom half of their division, to a World Series triumph.

Drawn from Johnson's account at The Germantown Bank is this check dated March 1, 1943 to John Burke for the sum of $45. The mighty Johnson signed his name perfectly in black ink, and the penning has survived the commonly found bank stampings. The "J" in Johnson matches up favorably to the "J" in first name John so we know the check was crafted in The Big Train's capable hand. PSA/DNA has bestowed a grade of Mint 9. PSA/DNA Encapsulated.
