1943 All-Star Game Presentational Pocket Watch Presented to Mort Cooper. Another special timepiece from the personal collection of Mort Cooper, the top National League ace of the war years. Cooper took the loss as starting pitcher of this Shibe Park Midsummer Classic, but he'd finish the season as the League's win leader at twenty-one before falling to the Yankees in a World Series rematch.

Non-precious metal construction of the "Elgin" timepiece speaks to the nation's thrifty sentiments during the war, and text is hand painted on dial rather than engraved on case. It reads, "Mort Cooper, 1942 Nat'l League All-Star Team." Crown will not spin, but certainly a skilled horologist could revive the pocket watch's beating pulse. Diameter 1.75", not inclusive of loop above crown. Fine condition. Letter of provenance from son of Mort Cooper.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
