Description

1942 St. Louis Cardinals World Championship Ring Presented to Murry Dickson. Though Dickson pitched five and a third innings during two brief Major League interludes in 1939 and 1940, the 1942 World Championship campaign is considered his rookie season, one in which he posted a fine 2.91 ERA in 120 innings of work with a six and three record. The Cards' dominating 106-victory season concluded with a four games to one conquest of the mighty Yanks in the World Series, and listed we find the glittering symbol of that success. Stamped "Hess & Culbertson 14K" at interior band, this gorgeous relic boasts a quarter carat diamond on the face, ringed by the words "St. Louis Cardinals World Champions." Each shank features a pair of red enameled birds and the text "Cardinals 1942." Proud wear is evident but the ring presents well and the engraving at interior band, "Presented to Murry Dickson by K.M. Landis" remains as bold as ever. Size 10.25.
