Description

1941 Walter Johnson Signed Check. Christmas Eve 1941 and the hard-throwing Walter Johnson, one of the original five inducted into Cooperstown, has written a check to be paid to the order of The Chase Publishing Company for the amount of three dollars. The check that we offer here provides proof of that transaction, with Johnson's immaculate blue fountain signature taking center stage. Aside from the expected fold lines, a one inch tear that is nearly dead center is the only detractor from condition. It must be noted that the tear comes nowhere near encroaching on Johnson's rare 10/10 sig. LOA from PSA/DNA.
