1941 New York Yankees World Championship Lady's Ring Presented to Charles "Red" Ruffing. It's a Yankees season best remembered for Joe DiMaggio's storied fifty-six game hitting streak, a remarkable record for consistency that has not seen a significant threat in the three-quarters of a century since. But that season stands in bold lettering in the Bronx history books for another reason, as the first of seven "Subway Series" battles between the Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers, with even more to come after the Bums' westward relocation. As such, relics from that first edition are widely and properly coveted by collectors with a concentration in World Series history.The design of this lady's ring is effectively identical to player models, simply scaled down for a more feminine finger. A large, genuine diamond is set into a silver figural baseball diamond on the ring face, with raised text announcing, "New York Yankees World Champions" at the perimeter. Each shank pictures a bald eagle in flight, clasping a "1941" banner in its beak. Interior band is stamped "14 Karat Dieges & Clust" and engraved "Charles Ruffing," the winner in a complete Game One masterpiece. Size ten (10). Pristine condition. Letter of provenance from the Ruffing family.
