    Description

1940s Babe Ruth Wristwatch. It was not only through his prodigious baseball skill that Babe Ruth became the most popular figure on the planet. Among Babe Ruth's innumerable endorsements there appeared this attractively designed timepiece. Likely marketed circa 1948, it features a portrait image of the Babe with facsimile autograph. Though it doesn't run, we believe it needs nothing more than a jeweler's cleaning. The Swiss made timepiece is absent of its original flexible band. One of Ruth's last endorsements through a triumphant career, both on the field and in the concrete canyon of Madison Avenue.
