1940 Ty Cobb Signed Typed Letter from the Hayward Binney Archive. Sound financial investments made Ty Cobb's life after baseball quite comfortable. We are certain The Georgia Peach attacked his financial matters much like he did opponents on the diamond. Presented is a typed letter from Cobb to Hayward Binney of McDonnell & Company discussing business and the bleak economic outlook of Europe at the time. Cobb also reveals he believes the Hupp Motor Company won't be around for much longer as they have sold off some equipment and their future is cloudy at best. We give Cobb an A+ for reading the future as the automobile company did not survive the perils of 1940. At the conclusion of the letter, Cobb signs "Ty" and underlines his name, a common practice for him. The penning is 10/10. Two staple holes appear on the upper left corner. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
