    Description

1940's Mickey Cochrane Major Leagues Lifetime Pass. Mickey Cochrane could do it all. He rarely struck out and finished his career with a sparkling .320 lifetime average - still the benchmark for his position. The two-time American League MVP was a leader of the highest order and did not take kindly to losing. Black Mike finally took his place among the game's greats in 1947 when he joined the Hall of Fame. This pass (4x3") was issued to Cochrane and allowed him access to any game he wanted to attend. "The National American Leagues of Professional Baseball Present This Lifetime Pass to Mickey Cochrane In Appreciation of Long and Meritorious Service" is engraved on front. Facsimilie signatures of league Presidents William Harridge and Ford Frick appear on the bottom. We are safe in assuming Cochrane got into plenty of games given the tarnishing and surface scratches visible on the VG pass. "Lambert Bros. Jewelers N.Y." is etched into the reverse.
