1940's Eddie Stanky Store Model Catcher's Glove in Box. 'The Brat' was a three-time all-star second baseman/shortstop who led the league in walks three times, finished in the top seven in MVP balloting twice, and was Jackie Robinson's earliest import backer. The win-at-all-costs attitude he developed during his childhood years in a blue-collar Philadelphia neighborhood carried him to the Major Leagues, making him both successful and reviled. His light brown "Stall & Dean" store model glove is stamped in silver "Stanky Model Special" and is accompanied by the original box with "Stall & Dean, Brockton, Massachusetts, Baseball Glove" label. Glove is unused, box is EX-MT.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
