1940 Enos Slaughter Signed St. Louis Cardinals Contract from The Enos Slaughter Collection. Enos Slaughter never took a play off. His mad dash home won a World Series and even a grounder inspired the Hall of Fame to hustle down the line. This contract was issued to Slaughter for the 1940 season and paid him $6500 from the club. He responded with a .306 batting average and ninety-six runs scored. Slaughter and fellow Hall of Famer Branch Rickey each signed on an inside page in black ink. Some minor staining present on the outside. Mailing fold marks are found. Letter of provenance from Slaughter family. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
