1939 Hall of Fame First Class Signed Display. Our great nation celebrates its sports stars like nobody else. We put them on a pedestal, cheer them on and even support them when the bright lights have disappeared. Baseball has always had a soft spot in the hearts of our nation. In 1936, the first elections were held to pick out the inaugural class. The men who received Hall of Fame recognition were honored upon the opening of the hall's doors in 1939. This Cooperstown-worthy display (26.5x22.5") holds cut signatures of the original eleven inductees. The Walter Johnson signature is an actual check from The Big Train. The autographs average 7/10 to 8/10 unless noted - some are stronger. Signatures include: Babe Ruth (cut administered to a newspaper backing 7/10), George Sisler, Eddie Collins, Honus Wagner, Connie Mack, Johnson, Ty Cobb, Tris Speaker, Napoleon Lajoie (signed "N. Lajoie" 6/10), Grover Cleveland Alexander and Cy Young. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
