Description

1939 George Sisler Signed Baseball Centennial First Day Cover. Possibly the quietest member of the .400 club, George Sisler lacked the sizzle some of his contemporaries exuded. One of baseball's finest men with a bat in his hands, Sisler was rightfully inducted into the Hall of Fame's inaugural first class. Issued some three years later is this first day cover with a postmark of June 12, 1939 from Cooperstown N.Y. Sisler signed the side in 10/10 ink to commemorate baseball's celebration of 100 years. Encapsulated "Authentic" by PSA/DNA.
