1938 Honus Wagner Handwritten & Signed Letter, PSA/DNA Mint 9. Following his legendary career, Honus Wagner lived his retirement as being Honus Wagner. Born and bread in Pennsylvania, The Flying Dutchman served as a coach for his hometown Pirates and even surfaced on the semi-pro scene as a manager and player. This letter is written in Wagner's hand from his days on the semi-pro circuit and references the Hall of Famer announcing a game as a fill-in. He also mentions going to New York for "Wagner day" at some point. The conclusion includes a gorgeous "J. Honus Wagner" signature. PSA/DNA graded the autograph and writing Mint 9. Technically the winner of this listing gets two signatures because of the "Wagner" mention earlier. The envelope is also in Wagner's hand. Fold marks appear. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, Mint 9.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
