A member of two of the most famous World Championship teams--the 1908 Chicago Cubs and the 1914 Boston Braves--Evers is best remembered today due to Franklin Pierce Adams' famous poem, "Baseball's Sad Lexicon." He paraphrases the work's most iconic phrase, "Tinkers to Evers to Chance" beneath his dated inscription. Black fountain pen ink rates 8/10. Visible area of clipping measures 2.5x3.5". Some minor creasing and general toning. Matted display is 10x8" for easy framing. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
