    Description

1935 Babe Ruth (Boston Braves) Quaker Oats Scorekeeper. The memorabilia-laden partnership of Babe Ruth and Quaker Oats in 1934-35 produced numerous items such as booklets, flipbooks, photographs, etc., that were available as redemptions for the Quaker Oats brand. From that sponsorship is this extremely well preserved scorekeeper measuring 1.75" in diameter plus the tag. It features a great portrait of Ruth in his Boston Braves cap (there is also a version in his New York Yankees cap), while the verso offers a full scorekeeping unit with Innings, Strikes, Balls, Home Runs and Visitor Runs. There is minor wear to the front surface with one small spot dimple. Near Mint.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
