1934 Tour of Japan Team Signed Program.
The most important foreign excursion of our national pastime is known to baseball history as the 1934 Tour of Japan, though the title is a bit of a misnomer, as the All-Star team of American ballplayers was not restricted in their travels to the Land of the Rising Sun alone. This program was issued for a December 5, 1934 visit to the Shanghai (China) ballclub, a team apparently comprised of westerners, as the surnames listed in the center scorecard would suggest.

The program is heavily worn with loose, tattered and possibly missing pages, but the program cover is the primary point of interest here, a 9x6" page bearing fourteen signatures of the American tourists: Ruth, Gehrig, Gehringer, Gomez, Averill, Warstler, Miller, Whitehill, McNair, Cascarella, Hayes, O'Doul, Brown and one unidentified.

Signatures average 8/10, and the page is creased and chipping at the edges, but will present well when framed. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from SGC Authentic.
