    Description

1934 Tour of Japan Partial Team Signed Postcard with Ruth, Foxx. A second Tour of Japan souvenir saved by a young Japanese man who had the thrill of a lifetime in seeing his baseball idols in the flesh. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from that man's son, the presented Osaka postcard is adorned by nine black fountain pen autographs of the American tourists. Appearing on the image side of the card: Babe Ruth (9/10), Clint Brown, Jimmy Foxx (8/10), Earl Averill (9/10), Frank O'Doul, Eric McNair, Bob Schroeder. On reverse: Bing Miller and Connie Mack (9/10). Some handling wear and light toning is of little distraction. Memorabilia from the 1934 Tour of Japan is highly coveted, both for the royal cast of characters involved and the enormous relevance of the Tour in expanding the global reach of our national pastime. This is a fine example. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
