1933 Charlie Gehringer All America Baseball Team Certificate Signed by Babe Ruth, PSA/DNA Gem Mint 10. The first of four All America certificates consigned to this Platinum Night auction by the family of The Mechanical Man, this spectacular specimen also bears a glorious Babe Ruth autograph, earning a perfect rating from the exacting experts at PSA/DNA. The legendary slugger signs in his ultra-rare and equally desirable, "George H Babe Ruth" format, his blue fountain pen ink as perfect as the date of its application.Gehringer posted a stellar .325 batting average for the 1933 season with sixty extra-base hits and 108 runs batted in while recording a career-high 524 assists at his second base position.
The 17x14" certificate exhibits some scattered toning but still presents beautifully, as do the signatures of the sportswriters representing eight Major League cities below. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, Gem Mint 10. Letter of provenance from family of Charlie Gehringer.
