    Description

1932 Ty Cobb Dual-Signed Check, Endorsed by Wife. The Georgia Peach filled out this personal check entirely in his own 8/10 black fountain pen ink, directing two hundred fifty dollar ($250) to his wife. While his standard "Tyrus R. Cobb" check signature format appears at lower right, the payee of "Mrs. T.R. Cobb" serves as a second autograph of sorts, and a tremendously rare format to boot. The endorsement on the back, another "Mrs. T.R. Cobb," is in the hand of Cobb's wife. Partial check stub remains glued to left edge, and the important relic exhibits no creasing or tearing to report. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
