    Description

1932 Babe Ruth Signed Original Drawing, PSA/DNA Mint 9. Fine pencil drawing of the sport's greatest star is enhanced by a bold black fountain pen signature from the subject, an autograph well deserving of its lofty Mint 9 rating from the good folks at PSA/DNA. The 9.5x6.5" unlined page bears original mailing folds and includes its mailing envelope, the return address being the Times Square corporate offices of the Yankees. It is postmarked just weeks before the Babe's famous "Called Shot" in the 1932 World Series.

Finally, and perhaps most intriguingly, we include an original newspaper clipping telling the story of a young man from Connecticut who sent sketches to Ruth and Gehrig for their autographs, the name of the artist and the address stated in the article matching those on the mailing envelope. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, Mint 9.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
