1931 Tour of Japan Personal Mementos from The Al Simmons Collection. The 1934 Tour was the more famous of the two Depression-era baseball excursions to the Land of the Rising Sun, and the population of available relics bears this out. Material from the 1931 Tour is considerably more scarce and these mementos have provenance from Al Simmons' family.

Included are the following items which belonged to the Hall of Famer: 1.) 1931 Tour of Japan program. The entire offering is in Japanese script. A rip is found on the cover. Some spine ear. 2.) Hotel New Grand Yokohama charm. "9k" stamped. 3.) Presentation cigarette case from a baseball team. 4.) Japanese medallion - mild wear with original box. 5.) Simmons' personal diary from the trip. Interesting insight is provided within the pages. Letter of provenance from Al Simmons family.
