Description
1931 Dizzy Dean Signed Letter. Historic typed letter on the letterhead of the St. Louis Cardinals' Houston farm club finds the great Dizzy Dean already spending the money he was bound to earn as a Big League star. Though Dean pitched a single meaningless game at the close of the 1930 season for the Cardinals, this letter finds him as the hottest pitching prospect in the minors and on the brink of becoming a legend of the sport. Perhaps most intriguing is the signature format, utilizing Dean's initials rather than the woozy nickname for which he is best remembered. The black fountain pen ink rates a stellar 9/10 and the page exhibits original mailing folds, minor rumpling and paper clip rust, none of which distract the eye. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
