Description

1930s Mel Ott Endorsed Goldsmith Fielder's Model Glove in Original Box. One of the best right fielders in history, ranking right up there with Roberto Clemente, Mel Ott was the perfect spokesman for defensive prowess. This nice, supple, EX-condition mitt features a "Melvin Ott" facsimile signature below the pinkie and an "MO" stamping at the base of the palm. Measuring 9" x 9-3/4" x 4-1/4", the retail box is FR/GD overall due to heavy wear and tape repairs, yet the all-important GoldSmith labels remain largely unscathed and display very well. A purchase price of $6 is penciled on the side label.
