But we could see in the images of these icons together at Gehrig's 1939 farewell, and in another of Ruth standing at Gehrig's casket two years later, that the love was real. This 2.5x3.25" slip of paper commemorates the greatest slugging tandem in baseball history, the pencil signatures present bold and rich.
