1929 Lou Gehrig Signed Check, PSA/DNA Mint 9 from The Lou Gehrig Collection.UPDATE: This lot includes a letter of provenance from the consignor.
One of three personal checks from our February 2019 Platinum Night presentation of The Lou Gehrig Collection, this specimen draws one hundred fifty dollars ($150) cash from Gehrig's National City Bank account. All ink on obverse is in the bold black fountain pen ink of the Iron Horse, most notably his rare and desirable "Henry Louis Gehrig" autograph format. Verso is unsigned. Check bears vertical fold lines that are only apparent upon close inspection, otherwise fine. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, Mint 9. Letter of provenance from consignor.
