1929 Jimmy Isaminger Presentational Wristwatch from Christy Walsh. Best remembered in baseball history as one of the major figures (along with Hugh Fullerton and Ring Lardner) in breaking the story of the 1919 Chicago Black Sox scandal, Isaminger was presented this fine timepiece a decade later by pioneering sports agent Christy Walsh. This gift from the marketing representative for such luminaries as Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Ty Cobb bears no apparent manufacturer's markings, only engraving on reverse that reads, "To Jimmy Isaminger, Friendship and Appreciation from Christy Walsh, World Series, 1929." Watch remains in fine and functional condition. An intriguing relic linking two behind-the-scenes figures who dramatically changed the course of baseball history.
