1920's Ty Cobb Signed Cut with Photograph Display. The leading hitter in the Hall of Fame, Ty Cobb is one of those players that every serious collector should have an autograph example of. With the quantity of material Cobb signed in his latter days, it is only a moderate investment. This piece should attract a little more attention due to the age of the signed cut. Although impossible to date, the signature and ink appear to be more consistent with his playing days than with the 1940's to 1950's deluge of Cobb signatures. The 2x3" cut is matted and framed with a classic 5x7" image of Cobb sliding into base. The signature rates a 7.5/10 and the overall framing measures 15.5x19." Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
