    Description

1919 Honus Wagner Signed Check Display. Just two years removed from a Hall of Fame playing career that saw the Old Dutchman lead the National League in batting average eight times and register better than 3,400 hits, Wagner filled out this personal check drawn from a "Carnegie (PA) National Bank" account. His unmistakable black fountain pen writing, paying "Jerome Bonett." the sum of $10.50," remains in 7/10 condition, closing with the desirable "J H. Wagner" authorizing signature. Punch holes do penetrate the endorsement. Framed, this display measures 13x21.25". Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
