Description

1918 & 1919 Chicago White Sox Season Passes. Imagine the sights seen by lucky Amon Carter, to whom this pair of passes to attend White Sox games at Comiskey Park was issued. Best, of course, is the 1919 pass, which brought the bearer face to face with Shoeless Joe and the other seven conspirators who shook the baseball world to its foundations with their throwing of the World Series. An image of Comiskey Park appears on the front, along with the bearer's name and the facsimile signature of Comiskey, while the back offers the complete schedule of home games leading up to the fateful October. The earlier pass holds no shortage of appeal either, almost identical to the 1919 specimen in design on the front, and giving way to "World's Champions White Sox" imagery on verso, with a sticker affixed that notes an eight-cent tax to be paid for funding of World War I efforts. Each pass is constructed of a plastic-like material about the size of a credit card. NRMT.
