Description

1913-60 Ebbets Field Rotunda Cast Iron Figural Baseball. This rare cast-iron "baseball" once graced the iconic marble rotunda of Ebbets Field, one of the most storied ballparks in baseball history. Artifacts from the original stadium are exceptionally difficult to find, making this a remarkable surviving piece from the ballpark's 1960 demolition. This example stands out for its excellent preservation, retaining much of its original white paint, with expected aging consistent with a stadium-exposed element. The reverse side shows natural oxidation, and two perimeter holes mark its original mounting points. Measuring 5.5" in diameter and weighing 3 pounds, 2 ounces, this is a visually striking relic from a legendary venue.
