1913-14 Pittsburgh Pirates Official Team Scorebook. The Bucs' official record book is believed to have been compiled by John Gruber, who kept the stats for the club for forty-four seasons. The internal pages of the hardcover volume recount all of the home games of these two campaigns and a few away contests, over 150 games in total. Included is a little-known seven-game exhibition series played between Pittsburgh and Cleveland in October of 1913, with Wagner, Lajoie and "Shoeless Joe" Jackson among the contestants. The book remains in solid condition with all pages intact. A thrilling read for the Dead Ball Era historian.
