1910's Christy Mathewson Notebook. Today, everything is licensed by Major League Baseball so finding notebooks with players or teams is a simple task, but a century ago, these player-themed notebooks were fairly uncommon. Add to that the fact that most were tossed out when the paper was used up, and it leads to a fairly rare collectible. This example showcases the immortal Christy Mathewson, known for being as fine a gentleman off the field as he was a pitcher on the field. Notebook exhibits writing, stains, and creases, but presents extremely well with a great image of the pitching great. Measures 6.5x8.5."
