Description

1910 Johnny Evers Signed Letter. There were few Dead Ball infielders more skilled with the leather than this pivot man for the game's most famous double play combination, so the provided endorsement of Goldsmith gloves was no small thing. The text, in full: "Gentlemen: I have given your Professional Glove a thorough try-out and find it just what I have always wanted. Shall use it constantly, Sincerely yours, [signed] John J. Evers." The letter is typed on Evers' business stationery and signed in 9/10 black fountain pen ink. It appears the page was trimmed at the lower edge, and it certainly has been affixed to a backing page, but neither issue affects the displayability in the slightest. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
